I suck at edging with a brush.  Any tips for cutting in the corners?  I've tried every edging gadget I can find and it never looks right.  Have a few painting projects coming up this winter.

I buy the best quality brush, usually a Purdy, made in the USA. I like a 2" angled brush for cutting in. I only use Benjamin Moore paint.

It's hard to explain but if you get the brush nice and loaded with paint (not dripping off like crazy tho) then you put the brush on the wall at a slight angle with pressure just above/below/next to the line you are cutting in, then slowly drag the front corner of the brush into position and go as straight as possible painting with just the tip of the brush.
Sounds weird but if you saw me do it it's pretty easy and very effective. As said before a quality angled brush is best. Also as in shooting breath control can help keep a nice and steady line.

Cutting in is an art.  My father is a career painter, and can cut in as fast as I can roll.  The key is to load up the brush properly (not too dry, not too much paint) create a blade with the bristles and go as slow as you need to.

Use tape as a fallback if you can't cut in.  Other than that, hire a painter.
