I just wanted to pass on the coolest thing I have found on the internet in a while.

Pandora Radio is a FREE website that functions as a radio station on your PC and some AT&T and Sprint cell phones. I have it on my iPhone and listen to it, more than my own MP3's.

I don't think you have to set up an account to listen, but by setting up an account (giving them your email address) it will store your favorite artists or favorite genre's. How the artist's stations work is cool. You pick a group or singer and Pandora will set up a station around that artist. For example, if you like Guns and Roses Pandora will set up a station with GNR and other artists like AC/DC, Metallica and Aerosmith. If a song is played on that station that you do not like, there is a thumbs down button that if touched, will let Pandora know not to play that song again. If you like something, you hit the thumbs up and it will play that song or group more.

It really is cool. It plays all types of music and is free. Also, I have never received an email from them or anyone else since I have had it. I have had the account for a few months.

Pandora's days are numbered, licensing fees are killing it.

That sux. I would pay a small fee to have that service. I wouldn't pay $10-12 a month like Sirius/XM, but a couple of dollars paid annually wouldn't break the bank.

I guess you guys should get it while you can!

It's cool, I've been using it for a year or 2, I've even posted it here before. I'm about to try out slacker radio b/c some friends told me last night they like it better. http://www.slacker.com/

Can you take Slacker mobile on your phone? I am not going to buy their $200 G2, that requires WiFi, when I can listen to Pandora on my iPhone for free and not have to carry ANOTHER item in my pocket.

for me it has a bad habit of playing the same songs over and over
and I have a ton of different artists added manually by name and songs I've given a thumbs up to to try to diversify

the worst is when you use it every day and every day you get the same songs

but it's free

Not really much different than FM radio, but w/o the dumbass DJ's and commercials, or Sirius, but w/o the cost.
