I'm currently reading that as well (I'm almost done with it). It's a great book!

Agreed, "Patient Zero" is a pretty decent book

Just DON'T read his next book, "Rot and Ruin." There is a reason it was in the $3.00 bin It's like it was written by Maberry's half-wit foster brother, or something.
Maberry has a brand new book out, BTW, but I haven't bought it yet.

When you're done with "Patient Zero" try out Joe McKinney's "Dead City" "Apocalypse of The Dead" and "Flesh Eaters." Three
different, unrelated books about the same Southwestern outbreak. Those are pretty good.

Oh, and I almost forgot, George A. Romero's 1978 "Dawn of The Dead" novel tie-in is back in print. That boy don't know NOTHING about firearms, though.

I have recently become a fan of the Joe Ledger series. I finished the Dragon Factory before Christmas and waited to buy The King of Plagues for the Kindle I knew Santa was bringing.

I too am a big Ledger fan; cant wait for the Ledger mini novels to come out.  I REALLY want to know what happens between Dragon and King!!!!

I believe the mini novels are only available in audio book. They've been out for a couple of months, and I'm pretty sure he said audio book only, which is really annoying.

I haven't read it yet, but the first book is available free from B&N so I guess its worth a shot.

If done right any of the Joe Ledger books would make one hell of a movie.

Too fucking right!  I think my favorite part WARNING: SPOILER ALERT!
in Dragon Factory is when Ledger is in the factory and he has the line, "He had one last mag, something was broken in him.  Something was broken in his head.  The Berzerkers were almost through the door.  Joe stood to face them.  Let them come."

Steely and hardcore motherfucker right there.  Now, who would the actor be?  Panzey asses need not apply.  Jason Statham?

I kinda have either Ray Stevenson or the guy that played Saber tooth in the Wolverine movie in my head when I read one of those books.  Dunno why.

I'm a big Timothy Olyphant fan, or the guy I always think is him from Transformers (Josh Duhamel?). Ray parks would be perfect too (Darth maul, Snake Eyes, etc)

EDIT - Dang it, did I just kill another cool thread. I think I'm cursed.
