The only Tom Clancy movie I can sit thru is "the hunt for red October". Say what you will about Alec Baldwin, he nailed the role of Jack Ryan.
Every other one gets on my nerves for one reason or another. "the sum of all fears" because of Ben Affleck, "clear & present danger" because of all the tactical errors that are so blatantly obvious*, "Patriot games" for reasons I can't recall but I do recall I hated it. 
*Namely how in the ambush scene all the locals start vanishing, yet the security teams don't pay any attention to it.
