I'm listening to Hannity's show (some dingbat is filling in for him today) and they put this old libtard caller on. The caller said thatTruman was a war criminal who murdered millions of women and children when he ordered the military to drop the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He also said that Japan was already finished by the time we dropped the first bomb and that it was nothing more than butchery. These people are completely off their fucking rocker. If the Demonrats and their libtard supporters regain power then this country will be in serious danger, both from without and from within. |
Well said. People here seem to think all democrats are pussies.. My point was until the hostile takeover by the Libs they were kick'n ass. |
Even with everything that Roosevelt did to the Democrat party, it was still completely different from the Demonrats that we have today. There was a day when Democrats were concerned about preserving our way of life and defending America from evil. Roosevelt, Truman and Kennedy for all their flaws still cannot be compared to the like Carter, Clinton, Kerry and Fat Boy Kennedy. Truman did what needed to be done to defeat the Japanese Empire and he saved millions of American lives in the process. |

Did the caller recognize that Truman invited Japanese diplomats to witness the Manhattan Project tests, and that the Japanese were warned specifically that unless they ceased hostilities, such a weapon would be used on specific targets of strategic importance? Did the caller further recognize that the people of Hiroshima, Nagasaki and other "target" towns were warned by leaflets that the bombs were coming? Did the caller recognize that the Japanese were conducting full-scale military operations against civilians as a matter of course in their conduct of the war? Idjits. |
There is a huge difference between the current Democrats and the Democrats that fought WWII. They had common sense back then. |

Now Wesly Clark is on saying that the administration is putting too much pressure on our men and women in uniform by choosing a military direction to try and solve the problems in Iraq. Oh, but when you had Americans bombing civilian targets in Yugoslavia to force the civilian population to oust their democraticly elected leader, that was OK. It was fine to use the military to kill thousands of Yugoslavian civilians (if I remember correctly the civilian death toll from NATO's bombing campaign against Milosevick was around 5,000), but it's wrong to use the military to kill arab terrorists. These fuckers must think that everyone in America is a complete moron. |
But that was different. The President was a Democrat.

It is really strange what passes as Democrat "common knowlege" these days. 1. Lincoln was a Democrat 2. The political party responsible for slavery and segregation were the Republicans 3. Strom Thurman, Bull Conner and George Wallace were Republicans, 4. Dick Cheney CEO of Haliburton during the Clinton Admin is evil but long time Democrats like Sen Robert Byrd and most of Al Gore's family all were members of the KKK and hard core segregationists 5. Roosevelt never intended Social Security to be the only source for every single persons retirement but only as the safety net under your own personal savings accounts "We shall make the most lasting progress if we recognize that Social Security can furnish only a base upon which each one of our citizens may build his individual security through his own individual efforts." 6. Nixon started the war in Vietnam 7. Jimmy Carter prevented Kim Jong Il from building nukes 8. Ronald Reagn was a war monger and the USSR fell apart on it own. |
I'd say Zell Miller (who is the only democrat politician I admire, although he's a bit crazy in the way opposite to most democrats), but whatever.
I've highlighted in red things that are actually true, when most of your other statements were apparently meant to be the democratic positions (and falsehoods). You might want to correct this. Also, Strom Thurmond was initially a democrat, but he only served as such from 1954 to 1964. From 1964 to 2003, he was, in fact, a Republican. |
