I am having problems uploading some stuff. Is the Photo server software broke?

I am trying to upload some .jpg files All are of a small enough size. When I try and upload them, and check the deal for having a thumbnail made, it tells me that the photo was not uploaded because a thumbnail could not be made for a filetype of...

Are you using IE or one of the other supported browsers? Firefox is one of the browsers you can't use.
