I thought I'd whip up a quick tutorial of how to do this sort of stuff.  Click on the links for the full-size pic.

First we load up the pic to Photoshop and the PSD file with Jojo's head.  Then we duplicate the layer with his head onto the new pic.

Then we rotate and scale his head to get it to the approximate size.

Set the transparency on the head layer to 50%.  This makes it easier to scale the head to the proper size and get it lined up correctly.

The polygonal lasso tool is very handy for selecting areas that will need to be erased, such as hats, rifles, microphones, small mammals, etc.

Now we'll use the eraser tool to erase his head and reveal the background image.

Finally, we'll adjust the brightness and contrast levels to better match the original pic.

And there you have it!

striker,

The functions are there, but the controls are sometimes under different names than in Photoshop.  Just dig around in the appropriate menus and you'll find the functions you are looking for.

Okay. I have the lasso tool down. The only problem is, the area inside it disappears on me as I draw around the part of the pic I want to save. Any suggestions? I'm trying to do exactly what DVD did. I want to add a co-workers head to a certain well used pic of Peter Pan!!!

Ah, yes. If only the victims would provide layered photos to make photoshopping easier.

Always need the lasso for the first cuts.

Anyone know any other way to match the color of someone's head?

I usually use the cloning tool to add some color patches but it doesn't always work to good.

I usually adjust the brightness/contrast as well as the color balance and hue/saturation.  You'll find it under Image/Adjust.
