Pretty much this but he had no way of knowing the gun was prone to falures and would not run corectly just by looking at it. That in itself should warrant a refund IMO.

I would suggest contacting a mod in the EE those guys are great about getting things like this resolved one way or another.

You can only see the cracks open up when you twist the stock to remove it. Otherwise they are invisible. As to the missing belts, shame on me for expecting an arfcomer to keep their word.

I hope it works out for you but why wouldn't you have made sure it was the correct barrel and inspected the gun when you guys did the FTF? You would have seen that it had a crack in the stock and was the wrong barrel right then and there.

It's a really good thing you got the guy to admit he gave you the wrong barrel.

You mean to tell me you are going to plunk down money on something like a gun w/o thoroughly inspecting it first?  I'm not saying you are at fault but you were being naive.

How could I mix them up? or the seller? The case is marked Mg42. The barrel is not marked other than waffen stamps and maker code.
I can mix them up pretty easily. I had seen both before hand while looking at others online and could tell you they went to Mg34 or 42 but I couldn't have told you which was which.

do you have the right muzzle booster cone installed for the caliber you are  shooting?  there are different inside dia cones even for firing 8x57 in the machinists' nightmare MG34.  With all the semi mods, increasing drag on the bolt carrier group, you may need a slightly smaller ID cone to prevent short stroking.....bolt not kicking to the rear far enough to slam the fired case against the ejector.

Or got the wrong recoil spring in the 34, fact: An M16 rifle recoil spring will fit in the MG34 but it is longer than the original Nazi part, won't allow the bolt to kick the case against the ejector.

Pretty sure the ejector pin is causing the hang up. It looks thrashed. Plate looks fine and is tight in the receiver.
I've got a new one coming, and a mold ejector pin that is the right diameter from a buddy that is a tool maker.
Just in case the new oem pin seem as soft the one that's on the gun now.

A mold ejector pin is too hard to last long as a firearm ejector pin.
