I'm pretty sure many of you have seen the pictures of that plexiglass computer table/case. Basically it's a table made of plexiglass, that contains within its very structure... all the computer's components. Basically the table IS the computer.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows where one can get these cases? I'm not very mechanically inclined.... and don't exactly have the tools to make one of these... I'm just wondering wondering if there is a place to purchase something like this?

My roommate in Korea had a clear Plexiglas computer case...it was pretty cool, especially with the lights and all inside, but you could see every inch of dust on the inside.

can you forgo fans in favor of watercooling? Or do you still need fans even if your using a watercooling system? If that's the case... you wouldn't have dust in your case as you can keep it airtight.

IIRC, you don't use fans with watercooling, but it has been awhile since I have looked into that.

So you can pretty much just create an airtight enclosure and just use water cooling thus preventing dust bunnies from polluting the computer.

How scratch proof is plexiglass?  I might stick with real glass for the working surface.

You could just put real glass overlaying the plexiglass top.

You need something to pull the heat from the water.  That is generally going to be a fan but it could easily be on the outside of the computer case.  Just keep in mind that a lot of things in the case generate heat.

You still need fans to cool the case, like the above posted you need to pull the heat from the liquid, also you have your power supply putting out a lot of heat, along with your graphic cards (you could cool the cards by liquid, so there you would lose some heat).

I have a liquid cooled computer and I still use fans.

Is this one of those using 80/20 aluminum and plexi or glass? If it is then you'll have to make it as far as i know. If they are for sale i'd see them being well over a grand considering some higher end regular cases are $200-500.

ETA: like these?

Why haven't I ever thought of that?
