Remaking it is just a waste of time.
Not to mention an insult to the original.

Like so many other great movies of the 80's, they should have let the original be it and never tried to remake the movie.  Unfortunately it will end up like all the other remakes that get horrible reviews and make very little in the theaters.

The people who make these movies base everything on the hope they will make their money on the back end through pay per view, Red Box and Blu-Ray/DVD sales.  As others have said, originality is a lost art form in the film business these days....

What's next a Back to the Future or Jaws remake? My guess is they will try to remake Heat.

1) Looks like it will be a fun movie.

2) Don't call it Point Break, you fucking fucks.

3) Kill the families of the people who thought it would be OK to name this movie Point Break.

That looks terrible. I'd raher projectile vomit on a broken crt tv and watch it run down the screen. Probably be more entertaining.

So F&F rebranded with a twist of Drop Zone and Mission Impossible and a hint of xXx.

I'll pass.  Hollywood is good at fucking up stuff that is just right.

How about a remake of Philadelphia with Charlie Sheen as Andrew Beckett...

I saw the trailer a while back.

It actually looked like it would have been a halfway decent movie... had they not made it a Point Break remake, just used different character names and a new title.

The title "Death Sentence" was taken from Brian Garfield's sequel to "Death Wish". However, they completely changed the plot, and the movie ended up being much more like the original.

As others have said, "The Brave One" with Jodie Foster was more of a "Death Wish" remake.

One major difference with both movies is that, unlike Paul Kersey (Paul Benjamin in the book), Bacon and Foster go after the people who murdered their loved ones, whereas Kersey/Benjamin go after criminals in general.

One thing about the "Point Break" remake... is it me, or does the gang seem like they are "extreme SJWs"?

Looks like total, 100% crap....

Bunch of crappy looking CG crap....

You cannot improve on the original, fuck, how can you? Keanu Reeves, Gary Busey, Patrick Swayze, Lori Petty, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers????

And no CGI bullshit...fuck whomever thought this was a good idea, hope it tanks so bad, everyone who invested winds up destitute...

Unless, of course this is a real life "The Producers" kind of thing, and it supposed to be that bad....

That's funny. I just watched Jaws, a couple of nights ago. I bought a computer program to catalog my DVD's
Ran across that one and watched it.

A remake of Point Break would be senseless. Never be as good as the original!
