On a bike trail.
I'm sure GD will have a meltdown in this conflict since we hate bicyclists but also hate speed enforcement. But do we hate speed enforcement on a bike trail? In fairness they are just 'asking' people to slow down unless going really fast. Police crack down on speed limits for cyclists on Capital Crescent Trail | NBC4 Washington |

I hate bicyclists more than speed enforcement. Lock them all up.
|
|
I was losing sleep over the wave of speeding cyclists.
So glad resources were devoted to that crime spree |
|
|
lol / stopping someone for going 1mph over the speed limit.
Great police work officers ?? Don’t worry about the real crime going on. |
|
Saw some officers doing that recently on the VA Creeper trail, I had to do a double take after passing them, to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
|
|
Next they'll start requiring cyclists to equip their bikes with speedometers to use the trail lol.
|
|
I'd be beyond pleased if they enforced traffic laws on cyclists on the streets. (They're forever ignoring stop signs/lights)
This is just stupid. |
|
Does state law allow for posting and enforcement of speed limits on these bike trails? Most bikes don't come with speedometers in the modern world

These threads are great opportunities for the Arfcom fatsos to lash out against the non-fatsos.
I used to wonder if I’d get pulled over in Scottsville , NY for exceeding the 25 mph speed limit in town. |

This is the brainchild of some dumbass white shirt or government official both of whom probably have no real credentials to be making this type of policy. Not the beat cops fault. I guarantee they feel super stupid doing this.

What that cop is holding in her fat paws is a radar gun and not a lidar sensor.

Hooked to an electric shock in the seat if they're not moving at least 20 under the speed limit. And they need insurance and pay a road use tax also. |

Guessing this is a result of some buddy walking Karens and their unleashed dog.
You get a few of them walking side by side gossiping and even if the bike was equipped with an air horn they wouldn’t hear you coming up behind them. Or the oblivious person walking down the middle of the trail with ear buds. They are so unaware of their environment anything, bike, runner, etc coming up behind them scares the shit out of them. |

Tax collectors.
So brave. Protecting and serving. Back the blue. |

Bike trails that are shared by pedestrians are only adequate for people who are leisurely riding. Not different than trying to ride a bike on a sidewalk. I avoid them because they tend to be far too crowded, and I usually ride at 20+ mph and usually cover between 20-60 miles in a ride. I stick to roads with a nice wide paved shoulder and good visibility. I have had no issues with motorists. I obey traffic laws when I ride. I pay property taxes as well as taxes on the four vehicles I own. Don’t like that ride a bike? Take it up with your state lawmakers.

Liberal socialists have to tax, regulate and control everything.

Bicycles should be titled and registered ! Just think of all the revenue .

That fat bitch is simply jealous of the exercise they are getting. Glad to see no standards exist in the DC LEO community for physical fitness.

It’s fascinating how the police-industrial complex comes up with ever-more ridiculous ways to safely earn their retirement by enforcing petty bullshit against the people without glock switches and illegal immigration status.
Then some “public affairs” lieutenant will go do media to gaslight the public into thinking this is actually a good and important “safety initiative.” All paid for by you. |

Can't throw a rock 30 yds without hitting six armed illegals but this is important. Clown world.

|
I walk narrow paved trails here. Posted signs say 10mph and call out while passing. Road bikes all kitted up come by hunched over doing 25 or more and don’t even have the gawdamn common courtesy to call out “on your left”.
I carry a gun, but I need to carry a stout stick in my left hand and left it swing gently side to side. They’ll slow down if they think they are going to do a header when their wheel locks up. |
|
Would a better use of police be to station cops in neighborhoods were all the dangerous crime happens? Saturation patrols like recon military units right down in the hood of DC? The bike policing is like a vacation, low risk to add days to the Pension time. It kinda like the ATF going out and harassing law abiding rural conservative gun owners with FRTs. No risk.

But why do people hate cops now?
How could this have happened Drill Sgt.?? |

Cops checking speed on bike trails is the definition of a bloated force. Defund them.

GD this week: God damned bicycles going too fast on the paved trails. They should be on the roads!!
GD next week: God damned bicycles going too slow on the roads. They should be on the paved trails!! This place is so stupidly entertaining, I love it. |

I don't hate speed enforcement when the police are fair and only pull people over that are actually going well over the limit, like 10mph+ through a residential community.
I don't mind bicyclists that are obeying the law, riding safely, and not thinking they own the road more than the cars the roads were built for. We usually don't have trouble with bicyclists out here in the country. In Charlotte NC, when I worked there, there were some obnoxious ones especially in groups. |
|
I did a gig in Carmel, Indiana a couple of years ago. They had a walking and biking trail that I enjoyed walking on. It looked much the same as in the video.
For the most part, the bicyclist behaved; however there was a significant number who were obnoxious and commanding. If bicyclist would simply realize that they must yield the right of way to pedestrians everything would be okay. The obnoxious bicyclist would shout at pedestrians to get out of their way because the pedestrians were impeding the riding speed they desired to go. At the time I reflected on the parallel situation that takes place between motorists and bicyclist on the roadway. I rode a bicycle for transportation until 21 years old. I never once had any problems with cars and pedestrians. A little common courtesy goes a long way. |
|
One of the highest violent crime areas in America, and their DEI hires have nothing better to do than "warn" bicyclists?
The irony is that those riders are probably fleeing an attempted rape or murder, but because their cars were stolen the bicycle is all they have left. Way to further oppress the victim, DCPD! Cunts. |
