I'm guessing the 2.8% liberal is due to teh gays, assisted suicide and legal weed not registering on my give-a-fuck meter.

Two totally different definitions. The one used in the Political Coordinates Test is (emphasis added) closer to the second:

All communitarians start from the belief that the well-being of the community should come before the idiosyncratic desires of specific individuals. Right Communitarians tend to take what might be called a paternal view of politics, favoring a hierarchical society and taking a stern view of threats where criminals belong in prison and foreign powers are deterred by a strong defense. For their part, while the ideologues among the Left tend to hold liberal values, research has tended to point to a sizable segment of voters who combine a left-leaning view of economics with support for the more traditional values of their community and a skeptical view of immigration (Mudde 2013).

Answered neutral on several which may have swayed results as I don't really agree with the communitarian position.

The test could have been much better If they had split some other questions up. Lumping together strict immigration policies and low imigration for example are two very different things.

Context also matters.  I'm a fusionist who defines liberty as the minimization of coercion.  For example I'd support legalization of all drugs in an accountability state but not in a welfare state.

Homosexual couples should have all the same rights as heterosexual ones, including the right to adopt.

And the right to have a business shut down over a cake.
And a right to have a grown man hang around a girls locker room
And a right to have a grown man have his balls waxed by someone that doesn't want to touch your fucking balls.
And lots of slippery slopes that cause a rational person to not move that slider all the way over to "agree" when presented with that question.

About where it normally lands

Quiz pushes people into media acceptable pigeon holes, by which I mean it has a Liberal/Democrat or Conservative/Republican bias, without an option for "other". It is way too dependent on beliefs about individual issues. It doesn't really have clear terms. (What does "Equality is more important than economic growth" mean? Does it mean affirmative action?)

I prefer The World's Smallest Political Quiz. https://www.theadvocates.org/quiz/

Test is a poor rip off of "The World's Smallest Political Quiz" which was one of the first to create a quadrant vs. a straight line.  Though, unlike this test, the world's smallest political quiz set the corner at one end of the quadrant as no government, and the other end as complete authoritarianism.  This quiz didn't really know what to arrange it's extremes based on and confused itself.

Bad quiz.

75% Right, 5.6% Liberal

Right-liberalism (Libertarianism): Individuals in this quadrant seek to uphold liberty as the primary political good in all respects. They tend to see themselves as staunch supporters of both personal and economic freedom and are deeply skeptical of collective plans and goals, stressing instead the principle of voluntary association and the individual's capacity to make his own judgments. They typically see less of a role for the state than individuals in the other three quadrants, believing instead in the spontaneous social order of the market.
