Don't cheap out on an installer. A good mechanic can make mediocre equipment play great. A bad one can make great gear play like shit.
It may not be easy to find one but its worth it.
If you don't already have your own cue/cues get Dufferin house cues or some Cuetecs. You can go as crazy as you want here but if it is a recreational table with guests playing on it or especially kids any cue you leave out will end up destroyed. Dufferin one piece house cues are a nice compromise between quality, playability and cost.
I like Master chalk. Again you can go nuts on exotic chalks but Master has worked for decades.
If you want the cloth to last keep it clean. Some say a vacuum is not good for Simonis. I always used a damp rag. Spread it out, wipe the cloth down and it will dry out pretty quick. The rag will be full of chalk when you are done.
