Short Question: Anyone ever use Ceedo. Anyone have Photoshop installed on a portable storage device to run it on any computer? Long Drawn out version of the same question: A friend of mine turned me on to this portable applications "trend" where you can install a program on a portable storage device (USB Thumb/Flash drive, iPod, etc) and run the program on any computer. He told me to check out PortableApps, which only uses OpenSource/Freeware type programs. Some of the stuff you can put on it are pretty good but I use Photoshop A LOT and that obviously isn't an open source app. I tried GIMP but as far as I'm concerned it's a piece of garbage. I love that you can open almost any image format to include PSD files, but it doesn't keep everything that was used in the file like effects (drop shadow, stroke, etc). So I'm set on getting at least Photoshop CS2 on my 4GB thumb drive. My friend told me to check out Ceedo. seems like this would be the program I need to do what I want. I have no problem paying $30 for it. |
