I've had a '91 2500 Suburban for a few years I plan on building.  It's a 4x4 with I believe a D44 front axle.  350 gas engine runs but needs a little work.  So far, (as in over the last few years) all I've done is built some bumpers for it.

My plans include:

Painting it olive drab or camo.

Rhino lining the interior.

Adding exterior lighting.

Building a roof rack for spare tire and other stuff.

Maybe some interior storage.

I may get some pics tomorrow.  I say "possible thread" because it may sit for years and never get done.  Haha, we'll see.

Sounds very cool. Here is my jeep. Not a dedicated Zombie Vehicle yet, but some more rust and It might get the bottom rhino lined.

My cousin and I had matching jeep cherokees. He took out the interior and rhino lined it. I do not recommend it. It gets so hot inside.

The roof rack I have has reinforced bars running horizontally, that in case of outbreak I could attack with pipe clams some metal (anti zombie) grating

to protect the windows. Here are some pics maybe to get some ideas or w.e

I plan on only rhino lining the lower foot or so of the interior.  I may lift it a little, but I wouldn't put anything bigger than 35s on it due to the D44.  It's currently got 285 MTs off my old truck.

i believe that soileater was talking about with the rhino lining on the interior is that when the carpet, sound lining and heat barrier are taken out to rhino line and not replaced the interior turns into an oven (exhaust running along the bottom of truck will radiate through the floor), you will have an awful lot of road noise too.  i personally would only rhino line a dedicated trail rig that wasn't going to see alot of street driving.

I've got an 01 Suburban 2500 4x4. I always told myself once i get it mechanically sound i would start on the fun stuff, well in the past year i've put about $7000 into the drivetrain, so i should be set for a while other than oil changes and brakes. Its mainly stock except it sits 2 inches higher and has 33" tires on it. My first plans are a roof rack with hi-lift jack and fullsize spare and some big steel bumpers front and rear. It has an 8.1L so my biggest problem will be mileage so i have a hitch-haul that will be dedicated to carrying jerry cans.

2000 Lifted Grand Cherokee V8. I am thinking of mounting a turret out the moon roof

I getting the rear lift replaced with a Klayton 6inch. Right now is a Rock Krawler 5" in the back with a Klayton 6" in the front. Then roof rack and rock sliders =)

Wellll, that was the original inspiration when I started it in solidworks a while back...
I was looking for a cummins ram, but they never made it to salvage with the motors still in them, so I settled on a 04 Hemi I got a good deal on...

I would think twice about it.  My Jeep sans carpet gets crazy hot on the inside.
