Yeah, it's not everyone's cup of tea.  Will be a short, light, super quiet AR mag fed 300 blk bolt gun.  Fun project.

@Gr8Santini I dig it. And I'm looking at something similar. Who cut and threaded the barrel?  Did you have to ship as an SBR?

@medic9

Thanks!  There’s a local gunshop that has a nice gunsmithing / machine shop.  I had them cut and thread the barrel and also cut the hand guard.  They didn’t ask for it but I gave them a copy of the form 1.

I've got a couple for this one.

Before, as a tired and worn Greek return that rarely got shot:

And after Jeremy2171 rechambered it to .308, refinished it, and put it in its new stock (where it's been shot more than in the last 10 years):

I liked his work so much I bought another to send him (here in the corner as a "before" shot with the first finished product):

And the second one after a rechamber and review by Jeremy2171, which then went for Mini-G treatment:

I also bought this Makarov:

And put on a better grip that allows drop free mags, etc:

On my way to copying this:

(For any purists, don't worry, I have a non-matched "parts" Russian commercial slide coming in the mail for the refinish, so the original slide can stay unaltered).

Converted the rifle length gas system to extended length on the Creedmoor gasser.  It’s a lot easier on brass.

I can't remember, did you use stencils?

@Smashy

Thanks!
Yes I did use stencils I found online. After some trial and error I found it best to use a brush to paint in the stencils. Airbrush would probably be best but I didn't have one at the time.
