Hi, I'm not sure where this should go so I put it here. Here's the question:
Under the assumption that a similar ban to what existed a few years ago takes place, and you already have an AR-15, what kinds of components can a person expect to legally acquire to continue upgrading, modifying, accessorizing, and so on? I'm curious as to which parts are critical in terms of legal issues, vs. those that will have continued availability, like tactical flashlights. |

If a new ban passes it will be more strict than Clinton's 94 ban, most people in Congress knows it didn't do shit so i'm sure the Dems/Obama will make it stricter this go around. That having been said if it were to be an exact ban a la 94 technically you could have just the lower in your hands and put on all preban goodies. I have one complete AR, I could have 5 stripped lowers but "transfer" parts from one gun to the next to say it was assembled pre 94 and than unstripped the rifle and move parts to the next lower. |
