I have to make a short, 4-5 min. presentation in class tomorrow that must include a powerpoint presentation.  I've been using the Corel Perfect series for writing papers, but I tried to use the Corel Presentations and it said the trial period is up and it will not work.  I'd just buy it but don't have a credit card.  Are there any programs that I can download to make a powerpoint presentation?  Thanks!

You COULD () use Limewire to download a copy of Powerpoint.

Google it for more info.

openoffice.org

Why go onto crappy P2P networks to pirate software when you can just download something that's legitimately free?

ETA: Woohoo! First for once!

www.openoffice.org/product/impress.html

It's free

ETA: "Of course, you are free to use your old Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, or save your work in PowerPoint format for sending to people who are still locked into Microsoft products. Alternatively, use IMPRESS's built-in ability to create Flash (.swf) versions of your presentations."

Do a search for Supreme office suite from Thizlinux.  It's free and 100% compatible with MS powerpoint and the other office apps.

Damn, thanks for all the help guys.  I hate to be a last minute bum but at least I'm making an attempt.  More than I can say for a large portion of the class who just hasn't shown up at all on their arranged day.
