Y'all we just got word one of our young rookies was being flown to a Pensacola Trauma Center after being struck by a truck in his patrol car... He is in a bad way. His wife and 18 month old daughter are being taken to him as I type. Power of prayer, people. Please send some out. Seriously. Thanks. |

I'm sorry to hear that. I wish your friend a speedy recovery. Being in LE that is one of the hazards, being hit by inattentive drivers. We recently had a CHP guy get hit and injured by a drunk driver while the CHP guy was trying to help a motorcyle rider disable in the fast lane. The motorcyle rider died at the scene. |

May Our Gracious and Loving Heavenly Father hold this young man in the Palms of His Everlasting Hands! May Our Lord keep the young man's family comforted and strengthened in these dark hours. And may Our Heavenly Father be with those who minister to this young man's physical and medical needs, giving them the wisdom to do what must be done and guiding their hands to their tasks. All of which we pray in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen. |
by the way if you still have my folks phone number give them a call and they can get him and his family on the church list. If not send me the info and i can forward it to them for you. mike |

Thanks VERY much, Gentlemen. Daniel is in "Stable/Guarded" condition after surgery to repair several internal bleeds and a punctured/collapsed lung. He has many broken bones on his left side to include arm, collar bone, and ribs and suffered substantial trauma to the arm otherwise. Looks like his vest helped absorb impact and without a doubt the presence of the "cage" or divider helped tremendously, acting as an internal roll bar and limiting intrusion to some degree. His wife and child are OK and family began arriving late last night. My partner and our Personnel Director (females) stayed with them helping until then. About 8 of his squad mates and some of our Brass were there as well. He is gonna pull through and will be OK it seems. He has a long road but he is young and in great shape so he has a leg up. PLUS he has many folks praying for him... Invaluable. Scary when it hits close to home... My Dept has been very, very fortunate in that we have not lost anyone for almost 15 years now. Amazing considering the hard chargers we have and the demographic we police. Thanks again, undoubtedly you contributed and it is appreciated. |
