So i've been working at the same job for 5 years now, pay is pretty good, work is ok, etc. but my boss is a riddlin eating, manic depressive,*edited*. (no sh#t i'm not making any of this up) There could be problems when I request the transfer! This job has taken a significant toll on my attitude and peace of mind. Now a position is open within the health system and it seems like a better job, get to keep my benefits and retirement etc. So, if you're so inclined to speak to the Man upstairs, please put in a good word for me, i'm just asking for a little guidance. And if anyone has experience "transferring" within a company I'd appreciate any imput. I know a lot of people are looking for work and that's what makes this scary. I have a wife and 7 month old to take care of now, so I dont think this is a light decision. Thanks LWC |
| I'll pray for you man. I am facing the same thing on top of other issues. I interview in the morning after my shift for a new job as manager of a division here on the railroad. Lots more money, company car, etc. There will be lots of challenges. Not sure what to do, but the opportunity came after some heavy duty related prayer (I am burned out in my current position big time) so I think I need to just go for it. I hope you can relate. Good luck and trust God to give you your answers, he will never fail. |

One thing I have learned in life though is there is always something, or someone that's just not right with a job. That's just life. It's what we make of the situation that shows our character. So hang tuff, & do what you have to do. No fear, no regrets. Go after the job, & know that your family will be taken care of because you are a responsible person.[:D] |
