| My 40 yr old sister in law was recenlty diagnosed with a congenital heart defect that is usually fatal witihin the first year of life. She has lived with this condition unknown to her till last week. She has two boys and a great husband. She went through open heart surgery to repair the problem. She was in surgery for 11 hours yesterday and had to undergo an another surgery this morning. She is very critical a this point. Thanks for the positive thoughts and prayers. |
I belong to a list for adults with CHDs (found at www.tchin.org) and every so often we get an adult who joins who went many years with out ever having a clue.....one had what my daughter has (minus the hole ) and served in the military.....nobody ever noticed. Good luck to her, prayers said. Where is she at? What is the defect? Feel free to IM me if you have any questions....I know more then any person should. |
I am so very sorry to hear this. I hate CHDs When things settle down, I encourage you to make sure your nephews get a good ECHO and you didnt say if it was your brothers wife or your wife's sister....if it is your wife's sister...I would have her get an echo and your kids. |
