Cleaning out the shed and found some blasting caps in the beams. They have been there for at least 15 years I would think, and maybe a lot longer, more than likely from the person who built the shed in or around 1976 - it is an 80 ft X 40 ft metal shed that was used to park and repair farm machinery. My question is - what should I do with them? ***************************************************************************************************** UPDATE - So, the Sheriff and the Explosives guy came out to the house and looked at the caps. He explained a few things about them and then asked me if I wanted him to take them. I asked if it was legal to have them and he said Yes and that he would leave them if I wanted to have them. I said that I did not want them, and asked him to take them with him, which he did. The Sheriff and the explosives guy were nice, polite, did not shoot my dog (actually, I have no dog) or cats, did not beat me or shoot me - I am still alive and very happy that I called the proper people to take care of my issue. *****************************************************************************************************   |

Did it occur to you that this is probable cause for a massive search of your property and probably your anal orifices to? Have a nice day. |

One of our regular customers is retired Army Engineer. We were talking one day and he said that his unit received a safety notice (not sure the exact Mil term). A Marine had been crimping caps with his teeth instead of using the pliers, and one of the caps detonated. So it has happened...  |

Some might even think they have to move on something like this.......for "the children", for public safety, for shits and grins, WTF.
