Primus Sucks You have no soul. You are obviously not a long time serious fan if you don't understand what "primus sucks" means I am, but never heard that one. Im not the sharpest knife some times. I still have seas of cheese on cassette tape, dose that count? |

My first concert was at the Bronco Bowl in Dallas. I was 15. It was in 1996. Primus opened for Helmet. It was amazing. I was there too! I wasn't 15 though - AG |

Bucket Head > Primus How the fuck is that even a comparison? That's like comparing Ford to Smith & Wesson. It makes no sense. Because they were in a band together and Claypool wanted to go one direction while Buckethead went another..I like Bucketheads funky stuff. |

Primus Sucks! Seen em live a few times with the original line up. Can't get into Brain or the new drummer as much as Herb. Guy is a virtuoso on the drums I have seen them a few times, but my favorite Primus moment was during their Tour de Fromage (where they basically played two sets, with the second being the entire Seas of Cheese album). There was a power outage at the venue, but Tim kept going (in the dark) with a monster drum solo that was so loud, you could barely tell that the PA wasn't working. Unfortunately, nostalgia is a bitch, and I never really took to their last few releases. I know Tim wasn't their first drummer, but I do think a lot of their sound came from the dynamics and interplay of the drums and bass. They just never seemed to recapture the magic, for me. It was also a little disappointing to hear Les spouting off about how great Farenheit 911 was on their 04 tour, but I try to ignore personal political views. I would also like to add that, while some claim it is sung off pitch, their cover of XTC's "Making Plans for Nigel" is one of my favorite covers, by and band. |

Didn't really care for much of their new stuff, but they played tons of their old stuff. Primus Sucks
