Hi guys, I have three printers. One is a cheapo all in one HP, another is a professional large format HP and the third is a higher end Epson all in one. When I print from either of the HP's using PSCS4 my pictures are pretty accurate to what I see on the monitor. When I print from the Epson I can't even get the print preview on the monitor to match my Photoshop image, when it actually prints it's slightly different from either PS or the Epson print preview. So using the Epson printer I'm getting 3 different representations of the same picture.
I've changed settings in both the printer and Photoshop and still no luck. See the pic here, the left is photoshop and the right is the print preview through Epson Artisan 810. The actual print is lighter yet and almost seems to have a cast over the entire picture, the little girls hair is almost blonde in the actual print. I know of some you might say the Epson preview looks more accurate in color but that's beside the point, why do they differ? Furthermore I increased saturation in the PS picture to try and get a good print to no avail. The preview and the end print always come out different. No matter how high I push saturation the print preview photo never changes. Photofix is off in the printer. As I said, the HP's I use whether the cheap one of the expensive one always give me a good representation of my PS image. Any ideas? http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii273/Toddsme/Epson.jpg |
| Are you referring to Photoshop? I don't know that I can change the profiles in photoshop to a specific printer. I guess right now the actual print is moot. I would like to know why the preview doesn't match the PS image as shown in the picture I posted. I think once I correct that, I will be able to adjust the final print accordingly. |
