Fox is reporting that prisoners are being let out of prison to go work
at the clean-up site, making $18 bucks an hour....Great idea, but my
question is, why the f**k are we paying them..??...

Where at? I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and no one is making $18 an hour doing manual clean up.

I heard its prisoners on work release, state gets 40% of whatever they make.

I imagine that money will go a long ways towards paying back restitution to their victims.  From what I understand, that usually goes unpaid.
