US officials rule out a deal to exchange the Royal Navy personnel captured in the Gulf for five Iranians seized by American forces in Iraq. Iran's ambassador to Moscow, Gholamreza Ansari, tells Russian TV legal action is being taken against the 15 for "entering Iranian waters". The envoy says the "legal process" has started but denies reports which quote him saying the group may face trial. Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett says she has replied to a letter from the Iranian government, but no detail of the contents is given. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad criticises Britain's response to the crisis. In a speech in the city of Andinmeshk he insists the captured personnel were in Iranian waters and describes Britain as "arrogant" for failing to apologise. US President George W Bush criticises Iran's seizure of the Royal Navy personnel. "The Iranians must give back the hostages. They're innocent, they were doing nothing wrong, and they were summarily plucked out of the water... it's inexcusable behaviour," he insists. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/6502801.stm |
Liar. It is perfectly excusable. For evidence, wait and see if anything is done about it. I really feel bad for people, like these brits, that are taken hostage by the third world. |
The brits were not in Iranian waters. Any kangaroo court they set up to try them is a sham and a travesty. SHould they hurt even a hair on their heads, Britain should man up and pound the snot outta the wankers.
WTF, over. |
WTF are you saying here? ![]() |
he is pointing out that if we dont do shit about it, it is sending the massage that it IS excusable |
