Shot about 100 rounds of Privi 5.56 this weekend and inside my gun was tons of orange primer sealant. That stuff is a pain in the ass to clean out of my gun.

Damn!!!

Break Free Powder Blaster.  It'll pressure wash all of that crap out.

Edit: Probably don't want to use CLR on a rifle.  It's strips rifle bluing.  Ask me how I know

Damn!!!
Was the ammo reliable and otherwise clean? I have seen a lot of this stuff on AIM Surplus. I have been wanting to try some.

PRVI is great ammo and very consistent.  It's also primer/case mouth sealed and comes in 200 round battle packs.

Where do you make your purchases at? I have seen it at several different places on line.

Privi is FANTASTIC!

The best grouping I've ever had at 600 yards were due to Privi in my .308.  I'm talking about half of my normal usual shot groups here.

On the other hand I'm never going to get Privi for my .380 PPK EVER again.  I never had so many misfires in my life, and one or two were squibs, too!  Granted they all fired on their second chance, but one misfire in every 6-round magazine is not something to recommend to others.

Edit to add: The pistol ammo was purchased in an unopened 200 round plastic package, the Rifles rounds were from a plastic-free case purchased at a Fun Show.

Wonder if they're having QC issues at their new plant?

I've shot tons of Prvi 5.56 over the last couple of years and never had this problem, although none of it was bought recently.

The ammo shot fine. No problems. It just has an orange primer sealant that gets everywhere like dust flakes. Shit is hard to get out of the bolt and trigger area.

Cleaning after 100 rounds?  You must be retired.

No, I always clean my guns after shooting. I enjoy it. I just don't enjoy cleaning orange flecks out of my bolt carrier group.

Prvi 5.56 is great ammo.  Just hose out the action of your rifle with WD-40 afterwards to flush it out, then wipe or blow out the WD-40, and relube.

Privi works great out of everything I've tried it in. I really like their 8mm 196gr SP. It's loaded mil-spec and is a much better performer than the 30-30 like 8mm domestic.

Non chlorinated brake cleaner and an air compressor,  problem solved.
