With having to have a FFL handle all the transfer of weapons from the dealer to me, what if I were to buy a weapon and then give/sell it to my brother or friend. If he gets pulled over on the way to the range and they start checking into it, will he or I get into trouble?
How is this kind of thing done without a dealer or FFL? When I was brought up in Idaho we didnt worry about stuff like this but now I live in Virginia and it is a nosier place. |

When I was brought up in Idaho we didnt worry about stuff like this but now I live in Virginia and it is a nosier place. 2- As long as you dont live in a 'must go through a FFL' state, or your 'friend/brother': is not diallowed from firearm ownership (ie you arent committing a straw purchase, buying a gun for a disallowed individual), or doing something patently illegal with the firearm which you knew about (aka you being an accessory to a crime), or lives in a different state, why worry about it? |
