When I left for work, my lap top was fine.

I come home this morning and my keyboard is having a case of dementia.

nearly all my keys have been reassigned to a different letter.

how do I reset my keyboard?

(Right now I'm using the onscreen keyboard and it sucks!11)

Try a reboot?

eta: Maybe don't do this if you have a login password that could end badly.

BS.  It's really not that complicated.

1.  Get a piece of paper and 'map' out the existing letters.  ie. pressing R means U, etc.

2.  Gently pry each letter off, and place it in its new position.

Five minutes later you will be back up and running.  This is why keys on the keyboard are removable.

Happens to me all the time and I type just fine.
