[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Problem reassembling my SPAS-12 - PIC

I know we have a shotgun forum, but I am looking for a quick answer because I don't want to put it back in the safe disassembled tonight.

I've got the printed manual in front of me and I've spent the last half hour on SPAS-12.com, and I still can't figure out the problem.

The barrel extension is currently flush with the reciever. I cannot figure out how to slide it into the reciever. As far as I can tell, assembly to this point has been by the book. The barrel extension can't just be forced in, either.

Any help would be appreciated.

What position is the handguard in? Pump or SA?

I got it back together - turns out you have to have the bolt locked back for disassembly, and forward for reassembly apparently.

However, it's failing a function check right now, so I'll have to spend some more time with it in the morning.
