Going to pull four #6 wires through a 1.25" PVC conduit tomorrow.  60' total, including 2 sweeps.  I have cable lube.

Will a single 200-pound pull-string work, should I double up, or get something larger?

I should work. I would use the pull string to pull some rope though, but the pull cord will work if the conduit is clean and lubed.

Not too far of a pull, but if it starts binding in the conduit the string could be cutting thru the PVC sweeps.
It'll prolly go pretty easy with lube.

Thank you, all!

Why not just used a fish tape for such a short distance

I don't have a fish tape.

I'd be tempted to buy one, but the excavation has gone an extra day, and blown a lot more money than was planned.  They ran into issues with the retaining wall, have to repair it, and are doing extra work to get the structure as far into a hillside as they can, but it means a lot more digging and bringing in more soil.

Ah, well.  Such is life.  The good-ish news is that with the new placement, the run will only be about 30-35 feet.  The bad news is that I already bought the wire.

I used a 1/4" braided nylon rope that I put through the PVC conduit as I assembled it.  With lube it was effortless to pull 70' with two 90* sweeps.  My wire was three pieces of 1/0 copper, plus a bare ground, through (IIRC) 2 1/2" conduit.

Edit:  The main thing is to lay them all out nice and straight, then use periodic black tape to make a nice bundle, then have someone feeding as you pull.  Easy!

Edit II:  One more thing--leave one wire longer for your pull loop and attach the rope to it, then tape the crap out of where it lays along your bundle.
