The last one I was at, I was at 1/1600, f/5.6, ISO100, 400mm (crop sensor) That was 2:20 PM. I would shoot for at least 3x or 4x your focal length, a wide aperture, and expose for the sky about 10-15 minutes before launch. I dont see a need for a polarizing filter, I dont think it will make that much of a difference and you need the extra light. Your T1i should have decent ISO performance, you should be able to go to ISO400 without problem. I do like your exposure that is 1/1250, f/6.3 ISO100. Possibly play with ISO200 and adjust shutter to compensate. But for your focal length I think 1/1250 will work well. I am not sure about sun position. There might be some sort of calculator out there that shows sun position for your location and date/time. |
