This one was definitely inspired by Pink Floyd.

Silent Lucidity

I've only seen the band once, but they kicked major ass.

I ain't saying it to be "I liked them before...." kind of dicks, but that was a band I liked up until "Rage for Order", and then didn't care too much for after.

Unfortunately the only time I saw them they were playing Operation Mindcrime 1 & 2 in their entirety and doing theater at the same time.  Hard Rock/Metal should never be mixed with theater and fuck Styx and The Who for ever coming up with this fucking rotten idea in the first place.  Alice Cooper may be the one exception.

I enjoyed them back in the day.  Don't hear too much of them anymore.  I still like them.

Don't click on the thread then.

I miss the 80's.

Seen them 3 times usually kick ass, but a show in Atlantic City last year was strange.  Walked out.

IMO Rage for Order was their best.

Yes!  I bet it stayed in my CD player for 3 months solid when I bought it.  I was in to Metallica, Anthrax and Megadeth and someone told me to get Mindcrime.

I like the part on the Mindcrime album where he cocks the pistol then say's "forgive me Father for I have sinned." POP! breaking glass. then the riff it goes into.

Best listened to with head phones!

Chris De Garmo is no longer with the band. His guitar playing gave Queesnryche that distinctive tone and style..

They are from here in Seattle. Put on a few shows since DeGarmo left..

Not the same !

Next, they will be playing the local Casinos next to Three Dog Night, Kenny Rogers and Ted Nugent..

Yes, Uncle Ted played a casino up here.. Shame..

From The Warning to Empire.... that was their sweet spot.   I've got whatever album came after Empire and it got listened to once.

Still, they had a better run than many bands of that era.

Eyes Of A Stranger, Suite Sister Mary, I Don't Believe In Love, Spreading The Disease... hell of an album.

All alone now,
Except for the memories,
Of what we had,
And what we knew...

Sw them for the first time when they opened for Zebra at the Paramount Theater in Seattle...their first live gig as Queensryche....Zebra never stood a chance against their opening act....I've seen them a few times since...always a top notch show.

and my favorite... Screaming in Digital

I was pretty young in the 80s, but I liked the second half of Empire. I also liked "Best I Can", which I believe was the first tune on Empire.

The album "Promised Land" also had some great tunes.

They used to rock hard as a MotherFucker but after i listened to their latest album, i had to question if someone was fucking with me by putting their name on that so called album.

When they played a local fair(with Tesla) and also a indian casino, i just knew it was going all down hill.

Operation Livecrime does them justice.
Two of the concerts I saw were even better IMHO.
Mindcrime is still one of my top three albums.
Good headphones make it even better.

I saw them live at a county fair years back, Type O Negative opened up for them.

Even though this was the mid-90's, and they had a couple newer albums, the concert consisted of Mindcrime in it's entirety.

It fucking ROCKED!
