I liked a couple of thier Songs, "Empire" and "Best I can" but never a big fan. Considered one of the first Seattle bands, The former lead singer Degarmo is a professional pilot now.

What?.......Queensryche  was NOT one the first Seattle bands  and Chris DeGarmo was/is the lead guitarist...Geoff Tate is the vocalist.

Been a fan of the "Ryche since the release of the four song ep in 82 or 83.

btw Queensryche is NOT from Seattle....they're from Bellevue

Ok Sorry I thought He was the lead singer. I just remember hearing on some radio show that he was a professional PIlot. The guy on the radio was saying they really came on in the 90's with the Album "empire" just before the whole, "Alice in Chains" "SOund GArden" and NIrvana rush.

Queen of the Ryche is an awesome song.  Last really good album IMHO was Operation Mindcrime.

guitarist ..correct?
Tate has always been the singer to my knowledge.

Maybe he is confusing DeGarmo with Bruce Dickinson, who is the lead singer for Maiden and also a pilot...

Oh, and I'm a QR fan.

I saw them in concert, but only cause Suicidal Tendencies opened up for em.

I stayed for their show and was Silently Lucid throughout.

I liked them until I saw them in concert.  Band starts out and then Geoff comes out on stage with a sign that says "Out of Iraq" on one side and "No more Guns" on the other.  Then he proceeds to use a prop gun in the stage performance for Operation Mindcrime...That seems a lil off to me.
