Could someone please telll me what those things hanging ,from what appear to be the suspension, are? Have anything to do with IEDS?

Drain valves for swimming.
You plug it up when the vehicle goes amphib, pop-em out when you are done. We usually left them out on 113s.
That or dingleberries.

I remember seeing them in person, I'm pretty sure that's what I concluded that they were. There's a Stryker guy over on Finescale.com, he might know for sure.

What ever they are... they look like they could be ripped off easily doing some of the things those vehicles are meant to do. I just can't buy the sensor thing. If you are over it... they already set it off by cell phone or pressure switch. Maybe they are signal interupters? I can see how they could be some kind of drain plugs... they are probably close 90 percent of the vehicles life but when it's in hot ass Iraq they pop them open to get more air flow? I don't know... we gota have someone who knows somethin about these things for sure.
