Guys I need your help I know there is a way to do drywall with out all the sanding, I bought the sponge that is sopposed to do away with the sanding but I cant figure out how to do it (when I wet the sponge it wipes all the mud off). Guys let me know how the hell to do this without killing my arm and lungs sanding.

a good mud job wont need that much sanding,the sponge method aint really that good you do it the same way you clean up grout  get the sponge damp and lightly  wip the sponge accross the mud

you gotta let the spackle dry 90% first.  Keep the sponge moist. rinse it out, and ring it out a lot.  dont put the spackling on too thick.  Practice makes perfect

Use wood. It looks better and doesn't require all that extra work.

Ditto!

You could also use any of several other techniques like using three coats with the last feathered out with thinner mud, but this will probably do it for you.

I've been a taper for over 30 years.  What's the project? and throw that wet sponge in the toilet.

Do you have a shop-vac?

Menards and other home improvement stores have a drywall sanding system that hooks up to any shop-vac. Sucks all the dust through a five gallon bucket with a gallon of water in it. A sanding pad with suck holes in it attaches to a long hose attaches to the bucket...Voila! Dustless sanding.

Thirty bucks.
