So I've been thinking pretty hard about getting a tattoo lately.  Still in the early stages with trying to figure out the perfect design so I won't be getting it for awhile.

My question is:  If you place the tattoo on a muscle, which will most likely be my lat (shoulder blade), what happens when the muscle gets bigger?  Will the tattoo distort?

Yes, and vice versa.

Just get a tramp stamp... those are less prone to stretching.

That's why young girls shouldn't get a tat of a butterfly,
when they are 60, it looks like a Pterodactyl.

That's awesome! I would get a Pterodactyl tattoo to start with.  Who wouldn't?!

Do yourself a favor... put it somewhere where it can be covered with a short-sleeved shirt.  Long sleeves suck unless you're getting paid six figures to wear them, and visible tattoos are a huge career-limiting move, unless you enjoy working with your hands or heavy equipment.
