At what refresh rate does your "cable box" operate?

Our T.V.s operate at 120 mHz(actually, a couple may be faster) but our boxes refresh at 60 mHz.  We have Samsung LCDs and LEDs.  On HD channels, things look pretty good, but on non HD channels, it's disappointing.  It seems like that's a pretty big gap between the speed of the boxes and T.V.s.  The provider says they are testing the 120mHz equipment in other markets, and if all goes well, we'll get it eventually.  BTW, our service uses fiber optic if that makes a difference.

Let me know what your systems operate at.  I may have to look at switching providers.  Thanks.

The problem with sd channels looking like crap is that a lot of HDTVs don't process a standard signal very well.  A traditional sd signal is 60Hz interlaced (that's 60 times a second like what comes out of an electrical outlet),

I use the internet via a Roku player and a Mac Mini home theater server, everything works great. Refresh rates can stuff it as well as my cable provider.
