Would you get angry, or find it funny if a random civilian gave you a gift card to Dunkin donuts, out of a slight joke, or even genuine kindness?

No, I don't take myself too seriously.  I would find it funny.

I'd probably find it funny, but I couldn't accept it.

We are allowed to have a sense if humor. May break your balls about it, but all in fun.

Also this. Dept policy keeps us from accepting gifts.

Uncomfortable.
Not supposed to take gratuities or "gifts" for doing my job.
At the risk of offending I'd have to decline it.

We have to turn over stuff like that to the local LEO memorial I think.

I love donuts though.

I'd take it with joy... I like doughnuts

ETA, and we are allowed to accept gifts under $5

Interesting, well, I am an appreciative youth ( no really I am 22.) and there is an officer I see practically daily because he patrols the street I work on. I was thinking about doing something to thank him, such as a Dunkin gift card or perhaps a box of donuts.

Around Christmas I make it a point to buy coffee or lunch for any LEO that winds up behind me in line. I had no idea so many LEO were not allowed to accept stuff out of dept. policy. I hope I've never gotten anyone in trouble.

I don't like doughnuts.  A cup of coffee, yes.

Politely refuse the gift. My S.O.'s policy is no gifts.

Still it would get a chuckle. No malice here.

Last weekend I went apple picking with my gf, and there was a officer with his patrol car parked next to the road where the customers crossed from the parking lot to the orchard. He was directing traffic and such. I thanked him for his service and told him to keep his eyes open because of how dangerous things are getting for officers. I wasn't sure if he took it the right way, or if he took it as some kind of roundabout threat. But I try to be kind and thankful to the police I see, especially for what I hear they get paid. I sure as hell wouldn't want to be a officer during these times, and I respect them as much as I do people in the armed forces.

So if someone delivered a couple pizzas to the station prepaid, you guys would trashcan them?

Many departments have a "no gifts" policy specifically to avoid even the perception of conflict of interest.  Many others will refuse food, because cops can and have been poisoned.

Some cops refuse to even eat at any restaurants themselves, due to the possibility of someone in the back with a chip on the shoulder seeing them and spitting in or poisoning their food.
