I don't know much about computers at all.  What I do know i've just learned from searching and reading.

I have had a graphics card go bad on a computer before, and it looks to happening again to me.  I need help knowing which one to buy.  I don't play games on my computer, I just surf the net and watch movies. I'd like to have a cheapish card that will do that and last a long time.

My computer does have a PCI Express 16x slot

My power supply is

Total Wattage: 250W

Nominal input voltage range:

   100-127V ~6A
   200-240V ~3A

Can anyone tell me how I go from this information to picking and buying a card?  Is there any other information I need?

If you are not into gaming, any card from any of the big-name companies will get the job done for you.

your power supply is quite wimpy.

I would upgrade that pos stock unit to at least 550 or so, then look at grabbing something 660ish or faster.
