Well, from what ive seen, the only semi-auto shotguns are sporting, and i believe (please correct me someone) that making a semi-auto shotgun falls under Destructive Device like the USAS and Siaga did, since they were both 12 guage, and semi auto.

So, i believe that most SBS are pump to try and avoid the DD label.

reference this link since it has to do with a siaga USAS, which is a 12 guage, semi-auto shotgun.

State Why You Intend To Make Firearm

My stock answer is "All lawful purposes".

The USAS-12 and the Striker were autos that had a mag capacity of more than 5rds. If you build an SBS out of a autoloader, it will be a SBS not a DD. Look at what Tromix is doing with the Saiga 12. (If SBS were legal in my state, I would have one of the Saiga's)

Also, to the original question. "For personal collection and all lawfull purposes"

I know you are in another state, so this doesn't apply to you, but just a HU for all my fellow North Carolinians, it has to be "for researech or experimental purposes" Or you will see it again without a stamp.

Thanks for the info, the Saiga-12 is my first choice, although i'm not having much luck finding one in stock anywhere.
