When I am doing pushups, sometimes I feel so pain around my lower abs region? Am I doing them right? I am working out my lower abs?

Ps I have heard that they are breathing methods that you can do to get really nice abs just by breathing…is that a load of BS or is there some truth to this?

Not sure why you'd be feeling pain there, but nice abs are almost completely diet. Breathing isn't going to do it. Exercise alone isn't going to either.

There's a lot of debate about that, but I'll tell you what's worked for me, my wife, and every person we know that has seriously stuck to it, and that's paleo/primal.

Basically cut out ALL processed foods. Grains, sugar, bread, pasta, sweets. No potatoes.

Eat meat, and tons of green leafy veggies. Some fruit and nuts. Cheat only occasionally.

Keep working out and you'll trim down, if you don't then you need to start looking at portion sizes too.

You're fine, pushups are damn near a total body exercise...you're usually too focused on the pinch in your chest and triceps to notice. Don't believe me then try just holding the starting pushup position for about 60 seconds or so

Meat of dead animals

Seriously though, pretty much anything I'd just recommend mixing it up. You don't want to eat ALL red meat, but you don't want to eat ALL lean chicken either. Some red, some chicken, some pork, fish etc...

Work on planks. When doing pushups your body should be a perfect plank so one exercise complements the other.

To get "visible" abs you'll need to lose the layer of fat over them which means a proper diet and exercise. But to strengthen abs just requires abdominal exercises. You can definitely have some solid abs surrounded by fat.

Maybe your hips are sagging. Upper and lower body should be a straight line.

Abs come mostly from being lean but genetics play a big part also.

I can have somewhat visible abs at probably 15%bf where as my brother shows nothing at almost dangerously low fat levels.
