Is the sponge version of this soft or hard like a book? I guess this is a stupid question but I dont know and a co-worker and I are arguing about it. Someone? |

I consider it more quick clot in a bag rather than a sponge. It is not hard nor soft. It is more like a bean bag. It is considerably cooler than the original quik clot. I have not personally applied the sponge only a quick familiarization but from what I have heard from first hand users, they do not personally like the sponge. It does work well in keeping the granules from blowing around, possibly in your eyes in a windy environment but the efficacy seems to be less than the original version. Personally I like the original quik clot over say hemcon. Even though I have a combat medic certification, I must admit that while I have done live tissue applications, my experience is limited and not performed in an actual battlefield environment. |
