I have this to say to liberals... would you want George W. Bush to be able to select a commissioner who could determine the amount of profit that all health insurance companies can make? Would you want George W. Bush to be able to select a commissioner who could create a panel that would determine what the minimum benefits of any health insurance plan were?
If you care about no other concern presented by conservatives, understand this... by protecting against executive power, we also protect liberals from abuses of that power by a future executive. If you would not allow a Republican government to tell you what shoes you could buy, why would you allow a government (that could one day be Republican) to tell you what your health insurance coverage will be? If you really liked Clinton, realize that he was followed by 8 years of George W. Bush. If you really like Obama, understand that someone you do not like may follow. While my concern is that Obama, Pelosi and Reid are acting to make health insurance more expensive for everyone to assist the poorest or most unfortunate, and I believe middle-income families like mine will suffer the most, my objections also protect you, middle-income liberal, from your own desire to be controlled by a government that may one day openly hate you. |

Somebody signed the petition as me and it wasn't me. Don't make me go all Dick Swan on you and sue your ass for using "0PSEC" or confusing variants thereof on the internets. On a good note, you can only post once. So you still have your own opportunity. |
