Can someone please tell this newbie what the "report" button is for? Thanks! |

If you post something that someone else thinks is excessively inappropriate, or just plain retarded, they can press the "Report" button. A screen comes up and asks "What is wrong with this post that you gotta report it, hmmm guy?" (or something like it) and you type in a short phrase. Then the screen gets the attention of a moderator. Simple, eh? The simple truth is, AR15.COM has so many people posting on it, that the mods just cannot keep up. This wouldn't be so much of a problem if the site wasn't so popular worldwide! Since it IS so popular, we sort of try to keep a 'clean face' to the world, if you know what I mean. Heck, I have reported my OWN posts sometimes, just in case the mods they are over the top. |
