In Florida we are now required to have a permit for "Reptiles Of Concern". Does anyone other than me think this is the dumbest idea ever? It sucks to think that Fish and Wildlife is so controlled by the "animal rights" people. |
Yes, same bullshit. But technically they are: burmese python, rock python, amethistine python, reticulated python, anaconda, and the nile monitor. Basically after that picture of the burmese that ate the alligator and popped open. (Taken by Skip Snow in the Everglades) Animal rights groups started putting a lot of pressure on Fish and wildlife. Well, Fish and Wildlife gave in and said, OK we will gladly help to destroy the reptile industry in Florida. Not exactly, but you get the point. ETA: At one of the meetings I attended one of the higher ups of Fish and Wildlife told a room full of people that make there living off of breeding reptiles that " it is a privilege to keep these animals and if you don't work with us you just won't get to have them at all" |
Like a weapon of unusual lethality?
