So I got the RRoD today.
This is my third XBox/360 product, and the first hardware problem I've ever had.
I called to get my RMA, and found out that the warranty period expires 3 days from now. I got my Elite in October of last year.
So how long does it take to get the console back from MS?

Your RRoD warranty should be 3yr, 1yr for other hardware problems. Should receive another box from them with in 2 weeks. As soon as they get yours they usually send you out refurb'd one.

a friend of mine said it took him 4 weeks to get his back

I threw mine into the mail on the 2nd, and it's scheduled to be back on the 11th.

Use xbox.com to track the status of the repair and ups.com to watch it make it's way across the country.... it makes the time go by faster.

eta: mine got to Jackson, MS at 0125 and is on the way home.

Was it recently? In the begining it took awhile cause they fixed and sent back the same one. Everyone I know who's sent one in recently has gotten one back with in a week and a half to 2 weeks.

in the very beginning it took a while, but MS has it down pat now..

It took them 13 days including shipping both ways for mine..
