Not sure if I (or anyone) has posted these before. This link is of a guy named Shaun Lunt who flew all over Alaska and photographed it all. Unfortunately, he was killed in a plane crash, up there, trying to get a closer look at some whales. RIP Mr. Lunt

I did my FRS training (VP-31) there a Moffet, hanger one. Always in Awe of what a magnificent structure it was. Look up when you came in and actually get dizzy. And being from Oregon and working in logging growing up, always was in awe of the size of the timbers, historic by today's standards. One day in late November when I was stationed there, actually had misty rain in the hanger. It was known to actual devop weather inside at times. |
