Yes this is "inspired" by Ahmadinejad coming to the UN and all but I'm just curious.

How feasible would it be for a diplomatic flight - a head of state's airplane - to smuggle a nuclear bomb into the US? And detonate it
Incoming flights are not scanned for radiation, that would simply be impossible, right?

Again, I don't think this would happen AT ALL it was simply a random thought.

Well considering that airplanes are not inspected until after they land, I guess it would be feasible.

fwiw- I don't think it's the head of state airplanes you should be concerned about.  There are probably hundreds of assorted aircraft coming in from that part of the world every month.

There's diplomatic immunity, and then there is diplomatic immunity.
If our gov't had even the slightest suspicion of something, they would violate someone's DI so fast their head would spin (If they knew about it)

Did you ever see "The Peacemaker"
That is how the BGs smuggled the nuke into NYC.
Diplomatic flight from Bosnia, downsized nuke in a diplomatic footlocker.
Not that it matters to the thread, but the BGs target was the UN building.

I didn't see that flick... I learn with stunning regularity that there's nothing new under the sun.
