So I stop by the local gun shop. I am in there 4 minutes. Come out to this.
No big deal. Call cops and have them ticketed and towed. 20 minutes of my day gone. 
I get to the range, set up. Firing my newly bedded and corked Mosin, big shout out to the team members who suggested this. 50 yards. After 3 shots, I get the tap on the shoulder. "I need you to stop shooting and pull down that target at the next cease fire". I ask why and he says "No silhouette targets at this range!" I ask if there is an issue with my manner of shooting and he says no, just the target type. 
Let me show you a close up of the target in question.... 
I tell him he is harassing me, and to get the hell away from me. That is NOT a silhouette and I WILL NOT stop shooting at it. He then explains that all I have to do is fold the top and bottom in so it is round. 
He says he is going to call the range master, and I tell him to call his mom and the cops while he is making calls but I will be shooting my target in the meantime. RM comes over. I had gone to my truck and pull these out. 
I ask if we can all agree that THIS is a damn silhouette. Yes. The RM says he needs to speak to the BLM officer on duty, who makes these calls. I inform him that if I am made to remove my target, or alter it in any way, that I will never set foot on that range again, period. Takes one of my targets from the packaging. He comes back 10 minutes later and informs me that I am absolutely right, that is not a silhouette, and gives me a free one visit pass. The original DB has not the cahones to come tell me personally. It does not stop there. 15 rounds later, still on the Mosin, a different RO asks if I had just fired. Yes, I say. He points to the sign that says NO RAPID FIRE. I ask so? He says I double tapped. I point to my BOLT ACTION rifle. He then says he is mistaken and must have heard two guns go off close together. 
Yes, yes, in before all the guys with private ranges in their yards. I am a city guy, and this range is 15 minutes away, not the hour + to the desert. While in SLC, do your best to avoid the LEE KAY center. Go to Bountiful Lions club, or out to the desert. THE END. |

Wow..full retard indeed. Makes me truly thankful I have a public range 5 minutes from my house without a RO. I had an uneventful range trip today, saw something that made me chuckle though, guy wearing a drop-leg rig with a PT 1911 that was almost down to his kneecap |

If you had them towed for blocking you for FOUR MINUTES.....I'm glad you live in UT and I do not. I was in the gun store for 4 minutes. It took 20+ minutes for the cop to have it towed. There was not enough room to steer around, we tried after the pic. The next car is barely out of the pic. Other guy was suggesting I drive down the sidewalk. |

I've rapid fired my AR and my 10/22 at my local indoor range lol... never heard a peep from anyone. They have a sign that says "no rapid fire" but they really don't care. I've emptied full 25-rd mags in my 10/22 rapid fire... sounds like your ranges suck. My local outdoor range has a 1-second rule but it's not really enforced (my dad accidentally bump fired my AR once and not a peep). |

SUMMARY: OP gets his panties twisted up because somebody else runs their range by their own rules and he gets a car towed away because he prefers to call the cops on someone instead of drive off a 4 inch curb. ETA: Apparently also thinks the weak ass excuse of "it's so close" is a good one. |

We ended up driving off the damn curb when the other vehicle was moved (just out of the pic) the tow truck had just pulled up as I left. Gun shop owner had called as well. Summary....sweatpants all hurt and can't decide if that was a silhouette or not either. I broke no rules and go out of my way to abide by their rules. POST FAIL. |

My mirrors would not clear, and it would have been super tight. odd perspective, I can promise you all. From that pic, my truck is half the size of the red VW. I honked for 5 minutes. No one. HIS BAD. Who in the hell parks across a damn driveway and does not come running when people honk??? Totally shitty thing to do. |

There's a reason that portion of the road is cut and graded. I've never purposely blocked an entrance or exit. Courtesy, the red V.W. driver has none.... |
